Access to renewable energy

American Industrial Park, a company of Grupo Aristos, has the largest rooftop photovoltaic plant in Central America. From the first photovoltaic plant installed at American Industrial Park in 2016, a donation was generated to the José Antonio Escobar Guillén Public School. The donation consisted of 24 solar modules to be installed on the school’s rooftop. The plant has an installed capacity of 7.5KW, and an annual electricity production capacity of 11 MW.
This Public School is pioneer in the country for using energy from renewable sources. Since the solar power plant was installed, the school experienced an estimated reduction of 77% on the monthly electricity bill, helping them save money and also benefiting the environment.
In addition, the solar modules at the school create learning opportunities on new technologies, giving teachers more tools for teaching about renewable energy first-hand.
