Humanitarian response to the COVID-19 crisis

During the period of strict quarantine due to COVID-19 and the economic reopening that followed, El Salvador has experienced different humanitarian emergencies. Thousands of jobs have been lost, companies of all sizes have gone out of business and extreme poverty has grown due to COVID-19. On top of the pandemic, heavy rains caused by tropical storms Amanda and Cristóbal (June 2020) greatly affected the most vulnerable population.
During these trying times, Aristos Foundation together with the companies that are part of Aristos Real Estate, provided an immediate response to the crisis, turning their offices into a storage and logistics center to collect different items and deliver aid to the affected employees of the companies, and the surrounding communities of Ciudad Arce in La Libertad and Armenia in Sonsonate.
Through the strategic partnership with the cities and first responders, the Foundation was able to deliver food packages, personal hygiene packages (for men women and babies), blankets, toys, clothing, among others. All of these items were distributed among shelters, people requesting support with a white flag, and the surrounding communities.
