Generating opportunities for youth employment

World Vision and American Industrial Park signed an agreement to increase economic opportunities for young people in Ciudad Arce through the implementation of World Vision’s “Jóvenes Súper Pilas” program. This program will multiply the efforts made in favor of people between 18 and 29 years, as it focuses on strengthening their skills and technical training.

American Industrial Park is part of Aristos Real Estate, which groups the largest and most innovative industrial parks and free zones in El Salvador. Located to the west of the country, it generates more than 12,000 direct jobs through 26 international companies located inside the Park.

“Our Corporate Social Responsibility main strategy is to generate sustainable development in the areas where our companies are established, and increasing local employment is one of the main ways to help improve the quality of life of the surrounding communities.” Daniela Escobar – Communications and CSR Manager at Aristos Inmobiliaria.

The Jóvenes Súper Pilas program of World Vision between 2020 and 2021, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, managed to reach 954 young people to train them in the Súper Pilas methodology, of which 321 have been able to continue with their formal studies, 118 have been placed in new jobs in the formal sector, and 149 have a formal entrepreneurship.

With this alliance, it is expected to reach more young people, through the strengthening of soft and technical skills, training, internships and job opportunities that will allow them to generate income for their families, and at the same time, linking the job offer of companies with trained youth in the area.
